Voices Choir– NO Auditions. No need to read music. No previous experience necessary. At VOICES choir, they sing to have fun! Their repertoire is varied, from Pop and Rock, to Gershwin and songs from the musicals, they just love to sing. Two concerts a year raise thousands of pounds for charities.
Every Wednesday in Eastbourne 7 – 9 pm at Christ The King Church, Princes Road.
Every Thursday 12.30 – 2.00 (day) and 7 – 9 (evening)

South Downs Singers – the choir, currently numbering fifty singers, is open to any member of the community who has a love of music and a desire to sing. No auditions are held and members are not required to be able to read music. A wide variety of music is sung in a sociable setting. Lyrics are provided to all members. No previous choir or singing experience is required – just lots of passion and enthusiasm. The choirs perform on a regular basis, so a commitment to learning your parts both during and outside of the choir is essential! Time: Tuesday 8pm-9.30pm Cost: £6 per session due termly in advance

It performs several concerts a year, including two large programmes of sacred and secular choral music with an orchestra and excellent professional soloists. Subscriptions: £100 per annum. The choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings 7.30 – 9.30pm at All Saints’ Church Hall, Grange Rd, Eastbourne, East Sussex, BN21 4HE.

Jubilate Community Choir – Although originally envisaged as a hospice choir, after some consideration they realized that there are many people within the community who might enjoy the benefits of a weekly professionally led singing session, whose sole purpose is to sing for joy! Like laughter, play, sunshine and exercise, singing helps underpin and maintain well-being and happiness. Whether you are bereaved, sad, lonely or indeed absolutely ‘cock a hoop’, but love to sing, they would love you to join them. Mondays at 7.30, All Saints Church Hall, Grange Rd, Eastbourne.

Rehearsals are once a week in school term time on Tuesday evenings 7.30 – 9.30 at All Saints Church Hall, Grange Road. Eastbourne. The choir performs three major concerts a year and takes part in other musical events in the town. At present their membership numbers approximately 90.

Sovereign Polyphony – committed, confident, caring singers aged 21- 66 on application who enjoy harmony singing embrace music of many genres accompanied & a cappella . Auditions required. Usually some places become available each year. Membership is subject to a four consecutive week trial. The ability to read & understand music is required. Adaptability in vocal parts, a good range, blending tone and enjoyment in singing is essential. Members must intend to attend weekly rehearsals. Rehearsals are at the Eastbourne Blind Society BN22 8DA. Terms are end of August to Christmas & late January to end of May.
